Linux Drivers News
Due to the amount of downloads of the Linux Datacard driver Betavine are supporting a multi-language download section. The team are supporting Spanish and English first, later in the month Italian and German will be available.
Vodafone marketing have also taken an interest in the Linux drivers, and the Open Source software approach. This year Vodafone are planning to support the integration of the data card software with the Asus Eee PC.Check back here for more news!

The Vodafone Mobile Connect Card Driver for Linux is a software suite for the mobile 3G datacard which works on multiple distributions of the Linux Operating System.
Besides managing connections with different technologies like GPRS, UMTS, and HSDPA, this application supports receiving and sending SMS, access to contacts and offers diagnostic information for troubleshooting.
The application is free to download and distribute. The software is open sourced technology from a project initiated by Vodafone Group R&D.
You can download it straight from the Vodafone Betavine Forge or select one of the versions for download below:
Betavine have been working with Vodafone Commercial to help distribute and support a new version of the VMC drivers. This version is built with Ultra Mobile PC's (UMPC) specifically in mind.
Typically the form factor of this type of device is low powered, has a cut down version of the Linux OS with many packages unavailable or not installed as standard. Added to these issues is the smaller screen size, meaning less space for the client VMC GUI.
With this in mind we are releasing a package that will install and run on the ASUS Eee range of UMPC's.
